Mavericks Storm Entertainment launches a new video editing platform called Parrot Video (www.parrotvideo.co) with a partnership with Adobe Stock (https://stock.adobe.com)

Parrot Video empowers companies and influencers to boost their video production frequency and quality, by letting them upload raw images and video clips to our platform, to then customise their visual and technical requirements, and then hand over to our senior editors and storytellers to edit a narrative video within 48 hours, and all at an affordable and transparent price.

Adobe were impressed with founder Mono Ghose and his company Mavericks’ 13 year pedigree in the video marketing industry, and client list (Clarks, O2, Apple, Adidas, Unilever, Selfridges) - and were keen to partner with his new startup Parrot Video.

Founder and Storyteller Mono Ghose said,

Some clients have all their assets ready to upload, but others need new or extra photos and video clips before ordering a video with us, so partnering with Adobe Stock, who have over 150 million assets in their content library makes business sense. HEDGEHOG PRESS UK PUBLISHES MONO GHOSE'S NARRATIVE POEM

Mono Ghose is now a published poet, after his sonnet was a finalist in the Hedgehog Press UK’s Cupid’s Arrow Competition in April 2019.

Mono said, “I’ve been writing poetry for a number of years, and this was the first competition I applied to and managed to get published in the Hedgehog Press forthcoming poetry collection print edition. I’m really pleased because I love reading and writing poetry, and this gives me the confidence to write more within this incredible medium.”

SPIL GAMES RELEASES MOBILE GAME WRITTEN BY MONO GHOSE

Games publisher SPIL Games based in Holland commissioned Mono Ghose for 9 months as a narrative writer to write a 16 episode choice based story game.

The game was developed from an original royal fantasy-romance idea by Mono called ‘Queen of Hearts’ into a choose-your-adventure branching narrative mobile game where players can choose how their story develops. Mono said:

“I really enjoyed writing this game. I am a big gamer but this was my first experience on a mobile game. I enjoy narrative games and choice based features which is something I am seeing more in all games even in triple A titles. On this game, I worked with a brilliant senior narrative writer and a co-writer across 16 scripts for all of the episodes of this book. I also worked closely with the lead game designers and production to help develop the assets and create a strong visual tone.”

To choose or not to choose?

“One of the big themes that arose during production was how integral consequences were for the player characters after making their respective decisions. That is, should they affect the story in a big way or not. With this book we aimed to stand out from the crowd of established players like Choices or Episodes and create consequences that actually mattered, and could essentially change the player’s experience depending on their choices -thus raising the stakes and potential replayability. In retrospect we decided that this was a delicate balance and the jury is still out on what is the best option. Regardless, it was a lot of fun working on a branching story, and meant we had to create many separate storylines - which was naturally challenging and at times extremely complex, but I think in the end it was rewarding and a showed me a new and dynamic way to think about story.”

CLARKS COMMISSION MAVERICKS FOR 3RD VIDEO

Clarks have commissioned Mavericks to film and edit a brand new PR communicaton video. Director Mono Ghose, directed the Clarks UK executive team in their head office and showroom in Russell Square in October 2018, and worked with CEO Stella David and Creative Director Jason Beckley. We really enjoyed filming in the showroom and getting a sneak peak into the new collection. Clark’s were delighted with our fast turnaround and high quality work.

CiARB - COMMISSION MAVERICKS TO MAKE SOCIAL MEDIA VIDEO

We were challenged by the CEO of CIARB (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) to create an engaging social media video to help them with a new launch presentation in November 2018 in the USA. We were only given a few day’s notice and a deadline of a week. We developed a new idea to involve more female and global members through selfie-videos, to make the majority stills based content more engaging. The finished article was a big success and we look forward to working on more videos for our new client.

BIO CITY COMMISSION MAVERICKS AND MONO GHOSE TO PRODUCE AND DIRECT THEIR NEXT COMMERCIAL IN SUMMER 2018

BioCity, a biotech venture capital accelerator based in the Boots Company HQ in Nottingham (well the HQ is pretty much a small city in itself!), have recently commissioned award-winning filmmaker Mono Ghose to write and direct their forthcoming summer 2018 commercial. Mono will produce through his production company Mavericks Storm Entertainment.

About the news, Mono Ghose said, "I am really thrilled to be working on such an exciting project, and now my third film in the BioTech space, together with such a creative team client side. BioCity's CEO AJ is a neuroscientist, but he also thinks like a creative writer and that helps me a lot. I can't wait to start development and begin shooting in summer 2018."
